I was wondering if you had overdone the New Year’s celebrating.
Commercials in blog posts, etc.: If it becomes excessive, ditch ’em.

On POTA : If you don’t like the way the POTA program is going, just drop it and continue operating from the great outdoor hamshack, without necessarily mentioning your QTH to the other guy.

Mike: Maybe what is more important is whether parks authorities like the way POTA is going. Other states and provinces may follow Virginia’s lead. Here in Ontario I see park signs listing “permitted activities” with the addition “all other activities are expressly forbidden”. All it might take is one complaint and we are banned!

While iit would be a shame to lose (official) access to parks, there is more “outdoors” out of parks than within. The damage to the reputation of amateur radio would worry me more.
